On 26 November the State Procurement Agency (SPA) entered into Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with training centers, under which MOU the training-centers will ensure the arrangement and conduct of the training course: "How to Use the Unified Electronic System of State Procurement" for procuring entities, potential suppliers and every person interested in the System.
Starting from the first of December of 2010 about 5 thousand procuring entities, operating in Georgia will be required to conduct tenders through the Unified Electronic System of State ProcurProcurementement.
Training of procuring entities, potential suppliers and persons interested in the System will be ensured by the following organizations, signatories to the MOU:
Before signing the MOU the SPA arranged special three-day intensive training for the aforementioned training centers.
As per MOU the trainings are to be conducted on the basis of the training materials developed by the SPA (User Manual for the Unified Electronic System of State Procurement, video-lessons, etc.).
It should be mentioned that the training courses are voluntary. They cover only the technical aspects of the application of the Unified Electronic System of State Procurement and do not include any legal consultancy on state procurement. The SPA is not responsible for any consultancy offered by the training centers on state procurement legislation related issues.
In the case of successful completion of the training course the training centers are entitled to issue relevant certificates.
